"Blue Note Records chief Don Was stopped by SiriusXM’s New York headquarters to tape his radio show, The Blue Note Hour for the Real Jazz channel. Mr. Was was being trailed by the Japanese Television Network WOWOW for a documentary they’re doing on the famed label. Don Was and Real Jazz program director Mark Ruffin did a special interview with NEA Jazz Master, Ms. Sheila Jordan, who was the first vocalist ever signed to the Blue Note label and released her legendary Portrait of Sheila album in 1962.
